Royce’ Potatochip Chocolate [Original]

Royce’ Potatochip Chocolate [Original] are one of those things that you tend to think ‘only in Japan’. They are, an we quote from Royce’ (Chocolate manufacturer)’s webpage the eye-opening combination of salty potato chips with chocolate, creating a perfect harmony. For the British out there, when it says “chips” it means “crisps”, and since this term is the one that cannot be messed up, we go with this.
Okay, so we tried this. The idea is a potato crisp covered with milk chocolate on the other side. Not bad, but not particularly… awesome either. We might have been waiting for something with a stronger combination of flavours though, as we did not find the crisps that salty. It is however an interesting snack if you want to surprise someone, albeit, they tend to be better in winter as they don’t do well in the heat.
